High-Noon Response
Incident Response Services When You're Under Attack
Active Breach? Call Now
Incident response services contain an active attack, remove the attacker and document what happened. If you think you are breached right now, call the Marshal.
Remote incident response is included in every Endpoint Detectives managed detection and response (MDR) contract, with response in as little as 15 minutes for customers.
What Should You Do Right Now?
If you suspect an active attack, do these five things before anything else. Each one protects evidence or stops the spread.
- Call (866) 804-0645 and say you have an active incident.
- Disconnect affected machines from the network. Leave them powered on.
- Do not pay a ransom or contact the attacker yet.
- Write down what you saw and when: messages, pop-ups, odd logins.
- Switch to a clean device for email and calls about the incident.
Guidance from CISA #StopRansomware also says to isolate affected systems first and to report ransomware to federal authorities.
What Do Incident Response Services Include?
Incident response services include triage, containment, eradication, recovery support and a written report. The NIST SP 800-61 Revision 3 frames this as detect, respond and recover inside a wider risk program.
01
Triage
Confirm the incident, its scope and which machines and accounts are touched.
02
Contain
Isolate compromised endpoints with CrowdStrike and cut off attacker access.
03
Eradicate
Remove persistence, reset exposed credentials and close the way in.
04
Report
Hand you a plain-language report of what happened and what to fix.
Why Does Response Speed Decide the Cost?
Response speed decides the cost because attackers spread fast and every day of exposure adds damage. The CrowdStrike 2026 Global Threat Report saw exfiltration begin within 4 minutes in one intrusion.
The IBM Cost of a Data Breach Report 2026 found breaches with lifecycles over 200 days cost $5.65 million on average, versus $4.32 million under 200 days. It found ransomware hit 39% of breached organizations.

Incident Response Services: FAQ
Is incident response included with MDR?
Yes. Remote incident response is included in every Endpoint Detectives MDR contract, along with 24/7 Security Operations Center (SOC) monitoring and CrowdStrike endpoint detection and response (EDR). Customers get response in as little as 15 minutes.
I am not a customer. Can I still call?
Yes, call (866) 804-0645. We will tell you straight what we can do for your situation and what it would take.
Should we pay the ransom?
That is your decision, made with legal counsel and law enforcement. The Verizon 2026 DBIR found 69% of ransomware victims did not pay. See how managed detection and response stops ransomware earlier.
Do we need an incident response plan?
Yes. A written plan tells your team who to call and what to do first. Start with our incident response plan guide.
Should we report the incident?
Often, yes. Reporting rules depend on your industry and state. The FBI accepts reports at ic3.gov, and CISA accepts ransomware reports. Check with your legal counsel.
What should we do right now if we think we are under attack?
Call (866) 804-0645. If you can, disconnect affected machines from the network, keep evidence intact and avoid wiping anything until a responder has looked.
